Where does the time go? I cannot believe that it is already May! I guess the old saying is true – when you do what you love, the time flies by.
It’s hard to believe that I started this little venture only in February. I feel like I have grown so much in such a short period of time. I have 6 in person events under my belt, and have had numerous sales on both my website here and on Etsy. Best of all, people really like my pieces! Nothing makes me happier than seeing a happy customer with a lovely new bag. 🙂 And quite honestly, while the sales are nice, just hearing people’s positive comments about my work in person and all of the likes on Facebook and Instagram has been incredibly touching and healing for me. Twenty seventeen was a horrible year for me, in so many ways. By the end of the year things were very, very dark in my soul. So dark at times that I wasn’t sure how to find myself again. But then I started making bags and have slowly started to gain some of my confidence back. I have a whole new community full of some of the warmest and kindest people I’ve ever met – fellow artisans, show organizers, customers and admirers of my work. These people have supported me and encouraged me to continue with this venture with their acts of kindness. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
I am gearing up for a busy period spring/summer period. I have several upcoming shows, including the Watson’s Mill Spring Craft Market and the Etsy Made in Canada Show. I’m also excited to announce that I’ll be a vendor at the Almonte Celtfest, which takes place July 6-8 at Gemmill Park in Almonte! Over the summer I’ll also be close to home at the Maxville Farmer’s Market and the Martintown Farmer’s Market on various dates. You can check out all of my events by clicking here. I hope you can drop by sometime to say hi.
I have a new product in the works as well. Wristlets anyone? Stay tuned!
