Today we’re celebrating Tartan Day and I’m thankful for all of the lovely tartans that have helped me to grow this little venture. Who knew tartan would be so popular (outside of the Highland Games crowd – where I knew they would be a hit ;))? I have loads more lovely tartans to make into beautiful bags, so much so that it’s hard to know where to start. But start I must, as this week I have booked 3 more events to sell these lovelies!
1. On April 28, I’ll be at the Cumberland Farmer’s Market for their annual Spring Market. I absolutely love this market. We used to frequent it when we lived in Plantagenet. I’m happy to be returning as a vendor. They have 75 vendors booked over 4 different locations in Cumberland. Stop by to check them all out!
I’ll be at St. Andrew’s United Church at 2557 Old Montreal Road in Cumberland from 9am-3pm.
2. On May 5, I’ll be at Marche Artisan Market at the Tom Brown Arena located at 141 Bayview Road, Ottawa. All handmade, all the time! Don’t miss this one! Many of Ottawa’s best artisans will be there (including a few crafting new friends that I made at House of Targ last night – Dutch Bike Printing Co., Ifs Ands or Buttons and Krooked Stitch – make sure to check out their work!).
3. On Friday May 18 (12pm-8pm) and Saturday May 19 (10am-5pm) I’ll be at Watson’s Mill Spring Craft Market in Manotick. (525 Dickinson Street). This is my first two day event! It’s also the spring opening of this working mill and Ottawa’s Mayor will be on hand and there will be live music as well. I can’t wait!
Besides my show last night at House of Targ, I’ve been busy with some custom orders that will be delivered tomorrow. Now I need to work on some new product and a special birthday present for a special little guy. 🙂
