Tartan Day is April 6
On this Saturday last year, we were in Hamilton at the Craftadian show. It was also Tartan Day (April 6) and Scott was such a good sport and wore his kilt during the show. He caused quite the stir!
Fast forward to this year…and it’s a whole different world. Honestly, every day seems a bit more like the Twilight Zone than the previous. I’ve struggled on how to keep moving forward for the immediate future. On one hand, it seems insensitive to suggest that people buy a pretty bag right now. So many people are struggling. Many of my fellow makers are closing up shop. On the other, I know there are people wanting to buy, because I am hearing from them every day, and my website stats are hopping. And keeping the economy going seems like a good thing right now. For myself, when I am buying things these days, I’m supporting small businesses more than ever. Supporting my neighbours and their families, rather than multi-national corporations. I’ve been so happy to see all sorts of local businesses pop up to offer farm fresh produce/meat and baked goods to be delivered in my area. It’s wonderful to see.
And I also have a TON of stock right now. Stock that by all rights would have been sold at the three shows I had booked for the end of March. So, I’ve been working on getting it all up on the website over the past couple of days, in between sewing and delivering scrub caps for frontline healthcare workers in Ontario/Quebec. (The need has been enormous and I've been happy to donate my time and materials to help protect those who are putting themselves at risk so that we can stay safe.)
So, starting on Monday at 12:00am, in honour of Tartan Day, I’ll be having a sale on all in stock bags. Everything will be 20% off (excluding custom orders and gift cards)*. The sale will continue for the foreseeable future, as a thanks to all of my customers and followers for helping me get to where I am today. Without all of your support, Misneach would be nothing. The discount will automatically be applied at checkout, no code needed!
Thank you all for your support during this difficult time. I appreciate it so much.
Above all, please keep yourselves and your loved ones safe.
* All items purchased with the 20% discount are final sale. No returns or exchanges will be accepted.
