After an incredibly busy summer of craft shows, Highland games and a trip to Scotland for the World Pipe Band Championships, things are finally settling down into a regular rhythm. The cooler fall weather is (finally!) upon us and it is now more comfortable to spend my days sewing.
I’m constantly surprised at how this venture has taken off and am so thankful for all the support that all of my clients and followers have provided. And it’s is getting bigger! I’ve realized that I am quickly outgrowing my domestic heavy duty sewing machine (don’t get me wrong, it’s AMAZING – it’s gotten me this far, but I put it through A LOT) and am having a custom industrial machine built for me. It’s both exciting and a little bit scary at the same time. Exciting because it’s new and it will be amazing to have a faster, more heavy duty machine for all of my leather work. And scary, because it marks a new chapter. No one ever knows what the future holds, so jumping in with a big purchase like this is a little bit daunting. But, I have faith that I’ll continue to thrive. I’ve already learned so much in 7 short months and am looking forward to what the future of this business will bring!
All of this brings me to the mention of the “C” word – Christmas. I waited until it was officially fall before bringing it up, as I am one of those people who doesn’t like to hear Christmas talk too early. 🙂 But with my craft show schedule (which you can check out here) and my ever-growing custom order list, I don’t want anyone to be disappointed! If you have been thinking about ordering a bag – or two – for someone special this holiday season, please reach out to me sooner rather than later at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss. You can consult my list of available tartans here to see if I have what you’re looking for. If I don’t, we can discuss options to get the tartan that you need.
Wishing you all a lovely fall season!
